Well, its been awhile since I updated this. It takes a lot of time to keep our little shelter in line. One of our ladycats in the FIV area is inclined to be a bit uppity, and I have to keep after her. She's inclined to have an attitude and I guess is entitled to it, since someone tried to set her on fire. Her tail looks kinda funny. But she does tend to get above herself and has to be 'talked to' sometimes. Our little lady cat who came in with the late pregnancy spay is doing well. She had the two-legged cats who work here pretty worried for awhile. By the way, you should see the fur on the two-leggeds. Really spotty, only looks like fur on their heads, the rest of it is very strange. And none of them seem to have tails. I wonder what their story is.The two-leggeds are trying to sell candles to make money to buy food and litter for us four-legged cats. If you get a chance, go to http://www.ewhiskers.com/ and offer to buy some. I'd be most appreciative.

I took a picture of me and one of the two-leggeds. Guess which one is me!!

busy week

It has been such a busy week. We had two new residents move in. One is a grey fellow named Cooper who has (shhhh-don't tell anyone) (whispers) 'Ringworm'. Since several of us FIV types have it (I don't of course, it wouldn't dare), I guess everyone thought he could come stay with us even tho he isn't positive.
The other one is a poor young lady cat, who was ordered spayed by another group, even though she was very near her due date. The reason: she 'might' have ringworm. I tell you all, I have never been so proud of belonging to Whiskers. We don't do things like that.
And of course, Thursday, our vet came to visit again. I am, of course, the bravest of cats, but that woman would strike fear into anykitty! She has no respect for our privacy. I was forced to hide behind the toilet. Imagine!!
And today, somehow, a panel fell out of the ceiling. Since it was right over the assimilation cage, of course, some of our more adventuresome kitties climbed up into the ceiling. Since its a dropped ceiling, they didn't get far because the tiles arent very strong. They were forced to drop back into the room. It made a fearful mess for the volunteers to have to clean up. I was (almost) tempted to try to help, but I thought better of it. I did remind them that it was time to eat, and we must be fed before they left.
Our Walk went very well. We made more money than we have ever made at a Walk. I'm sure it was due to my efforts. I really wanted to go, but there were so many d*gs. Not that any of them are a match for me, but I'm sure the reason I wasn't invited is that they didn't want me to beat up the d*gs. Not good public relations, you know.
Well, that's all for now. Have a great weekend, y-all. Care for a stray, the poor things have a terrible life, and its good for your karma.
